Photo Shoot Interview: Angela Yee

I might tell you to walk a mile in Angela Yee’s shoes, but she’d likely never let you. Yee dismisses the misconception of her having a 6am-10am gig with a breakdown of her daily schedule: “I get up every morning at like 4. We get to work, do our show prep, do our show. The whole time throughout the show were getting ready for what’s coming next. I do my preparation the night before, so the day starts for me the night before maybe around 10 or 11 o’clock at night when I get my stories together and e-mail them to the producers. After the show we have meetings all the time. I was at work today until about 1:30. Sometimes we have parties to host at night and we go straight from the club to work.”
One sure fire way for Yee to unwind from the rigorous demands of the job is through her infamous shoe collection, as she’s well known as having one of the fiercest shoe games. “I definitely go shoe shopping a lot. These are Ruthie Davis…the other day she had a sample sale and I brought 5 pairs. Then I went to Neiman Marcus and brought a pair of Guiseppes. I look at shoes like art.”
